The "X" model stands for expander because it is packaged without a power supply and expands a MP4200-P (w/Power Supply). A MP4200-P can be expanded with the MP4200-X up to seven times for a total system of 32 channels.
 
Designed by veteran recording engineer Bret Teegarden, the MP4200-X captures the warmth, depth, and detail that professionals trust in every session.
 
Features include a 31-step Alps gain pot for precise control and recall, a dual-impedance transformer input for tone shaping, a polarity switch, and a Buffered Line Input for adding “Magic” analog color to any signal.
 
Expanding a MP4200-P by up to 32 channels using the LPS-1548 External Power Supply, the MP4200-X is powerful, musical, beautifully built, and fexible.
